Paradip, 12.06.2026: IndianOil Paradip Refinery conducted a Level-II Mock Drill (Onsite Disaster Drill) on 12th June 2026 with an aim to check the effectiveness of the emergency response and preparedness of the Refinery. The drill was executed in line with the approved Emergency Response and Disaster Management Plan (ERDMP) of Paradip Refinery. The mock drill was carried out in presence of ERDMP Auditors. Members of Mutual Aid Industries also participated in the exercise. The scenario envisaged for the drill was propylene leakage from Polypropylene (PP) Unit of Paradip Refinery followed by Fire at the unit. Response & control measures taken as per the protocols of Emergency Response & Disaster Management Plan was well coordinated and it was appreciated by all the authorities. Mr Kausik Basu, Executive Director & Refinery Head of Paradip Refinery chaired the debriefing session of the exercise.
